Genius Baby

So as many of you know, Addison is fascinated with playing in her room. On Wednesday afternoon, I walked into her room and saw this:

Apparently Addison decided to create a train with her toys that included sorting them from tallest to shortest and grouping them by shape!

I promise I had no part in this at all- I was shocked as well. I asked her to teach me her super-powers, and she asked for a "cacker." Maybe another day!

It has been a very busy week of 'vacation,' and I am hoping it will slow down a little this weekend. David's dad was care-flighted to the hospital this week, had a pace maker put in, and they removed a blood clot. Thank goodness he is home now!

I spent a good portion of my vacation posting Addison's Spring/Summer 2009/2010 wardrobe on Ebay. If you know of anyone who need baby clothes- they are in very good condition!

This morning I got my hair done and brought back my bangs! Might post some pictures tomorrow. Gotta run for now- I have to get ready to celebrate Christia's birthday tonight!

Socks, Little Martha, and The Back-Up Plan

Last night as we (and for future references when I say we I mean David) were putting away laundry, we discovered that Addison may be the focus of Hoarders 2030: Sock Obsessions:

You can hear in the video that we try to teach her to say sock. Much to our dismay, she misplaces the 'S' with a 'C'...you can see where I'm going with this....I'm sure Nonna will be pleased to hear that in front of all the other kids!
After laundry we came into the living room where Addison decided to set up shop with her favorite quilt and her Bible stories book. As you can see Little Martha Stewart gets upset with wrinkles. (She gets this from David obviously)

Today I struck a deal on entertainment 2 redbox rentals, an appetizer and a meal from chili’s (totally fat-free I’m sure)- all for $4.50!!! I had a free rental from redbox, joined chili’s email club (free appetizer), and had a $5 gift card.

I watched "The Back-up Plan" with Jennifer Lopez- one of the funniest movies I have seen in awhile (funnier if you have had a baby). I give it a 9 out of 10!

That's all for now! Hope everyone is having a great week!

Addison's Melt-Down

So you know when you are a normal person (before you have kids), and there you are in Target or the mall and this crazy parent is just 'letting' their child go buck-wild in the store screaming, flailing, etc.?

Well that was me this morning, as my sweet child, who amazes people with her peacefulness, was taken over by the devil (also known as a molar) over a stack of tiny post-it notes.... She wanted them, I said no, you get the point.

I actually told her (and I'm pretty sure an offender shopper heard me) that I was going to have her exorcised this afternoon!

Now we are home and she is the most pleasant child ever dancing and singing..."sigh"

We had a great night at my parents' house so that I could fix Molly's hair this morning for her 1st day of 8th grade. Her right hand is in a cast so she can't do it herself.

We also had some family time yesterday while Justin (my cousin) and his wife Dani are in town with their little girl Maddison. (below- me & Justin with Maddi & Addi giving goodbye kisses)

Well now it's off to my first day of a new workout routine. Wish me luck!

End of Summer

So as the summer comes to an end, I decided that I would start off the fall with blogging as my new hobby!

This summer has been filled with lots of fun things- good times with friends and family, sporting events, and watching my husband tirelessly fight to keep our yard from dying of heat exhaustion!

M'Kenna's softball team took 4th place in state this summer, and we are so proud of her! Hannah is getting ready for competitive cheer this fall, and both girls will be doing pee-wee cheer as well.

Addison is crazier than ever- some days she is just like me singing and dancing and playing with jewelry and purses. Other days she is crying to go outside or showing us her crazy face routine and acting just like David. Her newest words are "O-kay," "Heeeeyy," "What's That?," and "Where go?" She is too smart for her own good, very opinionated, hates to sit still to eat, and loves "cackers" and books.

Well that's enough for now. I am going to prepare for my week of vacation with no plans and no work :)
